What is BuckTuned?
My name is Jason Buckley and I am the sole owner and operator of BuckTuned. It started for me as a vision. I was sitting at breakfast with my father one day and had a thought which would soon turn into a reality. I was always interested in performance and tuning motors, and decided I wanted to turn my passion into something more. Being a hobbyist, I decided to use my funds from my dayjob to pursue professional training to learn to be the best I can be in this performance world. I wanted people to smile from ear to ear when taking their bike for a test ride after leaving my dyno, much like the legendary tuners I learned SO MUCH from in this industry. There is so much misinformation out there when it comes to tuning, I wanted to shed a real light on what works, and what doesn't. The why and how is paramount to me, and for my customers. Contrary to popular belief, tuning isn't magic! it's a skill that must be cultivated, and something that I absolutely love to do. " Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life" isn't just a cliche statement. I take the utmost pride in providing top shelf service to all my customers, and in listening to their wants and needs. It isn't always about the HP and TQ numbers on a dyno sheet! It's about rideability, and making sure your motor is happy! This way you get to spend more days with your motorcycle, and less days in the shop making costly repairs due to a bad tune. When your bike leaves my dyno, you can rest assured it is running the BEST it possibly can be.

Why Dyno Tune?

"Why would I spend money on a dyno tune, when I can upload a premade map that would do the same thing?" It's a fair question, and something that a lot of riders simply don't have the answer to. The real answer is this: You can take two bikes that are basically IDENTICAL. Same year, same motor, same air cleaner, same pipes, (you get the picture) yet both of those bikes will have different calibrations when they leave my dyno. It is the same reason your front and rear cylinder on your motorcycle will have different volumetric efficiency tables in your calibration. "But aren't they the same?!" NO! THEY BREATHE DIFFERENTLY! The manufacturing process will allow for minute discrepancies in engine tolerances, meaning no two cylinders are exactly the same. Thus, no two bikes are exactly the same! Remember, you may have the same bike as the next guy, but your bike is its own machine, and so are you. Your riding style is unique, you may like a different torque curve than the next guy. Also, any modifications to your motorcycle that affect airflow or exhaust in any way shape or form, requires a tune! Your Harley Davidson ECM might know the size of your injectors, and the displacement of your motor, (Unless you change them of course) but it DOES NOT know the density of AIR entering the cylinders at any given time in the RPM and LOAD or TPS range, unless the tuner tells it! This is where the dyno comes into play as the best performance tool you can possibly have. The dyno allows the tuner to mimic road conditions, and replicate almost any riding condition to a point that allows you to modify the EFI calibration to suit the needs of your motorcycle exclusively. There is no other replacement for this! If you truly love your motorcycle, a dyno tune is of utmost importance to the health and longevity of your bike.

Why TTS?

As a tuner, my job is entirely dependent on DATA that is shown to me by way of running your bike on the dyno. When I am finished with a run, I then go back and analyze the data shown in the software that monitors the various sensors on your Harley Davidson. For example, Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor, Throttle Position sensor, 02 sensors, RPM, and more. TTS software has the fastest frames per second data collection out of ANY of the other "tuners" on the market. Being the fact that data collection is what I base my entire tune off of, and essentially how I know what changes need to be made in the calibration, I will make no exceptions but to utilize the best software that I possibly can, to give you the best tune you can possibly have for your motorcycle! TTS also allows myself as the tuner access to more tables in the ECM calibration to modify than other tuners on the market, allowing me to give you a better tune. While other tuning software on the market may provide surface level modifications, TTS software digs deep and allows a skilled tuner to make your bike run like you've never seen before! I WILL NOT tune your bike with anything but TTS, because I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that I am not giving your bike the tune it deserves, and I simply cannot live with that. And before you ask, no I am not getting paid by TTS to advertise their software, I have used other tuners in the past, and I KNOW that TTS is the best, bar none.
